Goodlife that corn is fantastic!!! never heard of it before, do you mind me asking where you bought the seeds from as I would love to try grow some next year.

Seed are from Jayb through our seedsaving circle...once my seeds are dried out, I'm sure there is some spare for you to grow..send me a PM about it to remind me.

Goodlife is that variety an eating sweetcorn or one for turning into flour?

I think it is meant to be 'flour' corn..but I did have some under developed (full kernels but hardly any colour) this summer on barbeque and they were lovely...not as sweet as sweetcorn but still nicely so and not mealy at all in that stage. The ones that I tried little bit later already had more colour and those were already starchy.
So its either 'catch them early for cob eating..or let them be pretty for flour'.

Stowell's Evergreen corn - was a race against the weather this year, but the cobs did fill out in the end.
