Title: Feeding Cucumbers
Post by: 1066 on June 01, 2009, 08:34:14
Hi
I've potted my cucumbers (Marketmore & Mirella) outside into their final large pots with some rotted manure at the bottom of the pots and potting compost on top of that. They are approx 18" to 24" high, flowering etc. When should I start feeding them and what with? I'm presuming I will need to feed them ??

Thanks

I treat them the same as my squash as there from the same family feed once a week with a Toamato feedand the two or three times in the season with a  high potash feed / or Chicken pellats

Tomorite/high Potash feed - same thing?

Seaweed - yes - as a foliar feed. Or in Maxicrop.

We feed at every watering - daily.

Caveat - at a diluted strength. They (as do Toms) prefer to be evenly fed.

Once a week is to suit the workers. I don't!

Yes, I believe that everything helps - or I would not spend time here.

Calcium, yes. But use as a foliar feed as well - or instead.

N for Cus? With us - never.
