Oh my... our gooseberry bushes are flowering and they are covered with tiny blooms, which ultimately means hundreds of gooseberries right? I don't want to waste them, anyone have any idea how we can use them? Any recipes, tips - all gratefully accepted.
We have green ones and red ones apparently (we inherited them).
Thanks for any advice or links?

when the fruits start to form if you remove every other one you'll get better, decent sized berries apparently.
gooseberry wine can be nice. i still have a freezerful of gooseberries from my 2 bushes, better get eating them!!

ooh thanks for the tip. yeah I'd much rather have big fat round gooseberries than small ones. Freezing them is a good idea too.

I do not like goosegog wine so much - very acidic so could do with being laid down for a few years. Cannot beat a goosgogf pie though (unless its blackcurrents)
