Title: seed sowing
Post by: plotstoeat on March 03, 2015, 19:42:48
Forecast is much milder for the next 7 days so I will try to get some seeds germinated in unheated greenhouse. Only have two small propagators, so have to take my chances. I'll start with some herbs. Then maybe some carrots in a container (Rondo)

Found some really cheap propagators in Morrisons - from memory bottoms about £1.00 and covers £1.50. Not big but they work very well, transferred some dahlias and they survived last nights frost in an unheated greenhouse. I also save bubble wrap for cold nights.

Thanks for that Redalder. I use bubble wrap too. I line the none sunny windows with it and cover any plants. Haven't lost anything so far this winter
Limiting factor for propagator is I only have two sockets in greenhouse.
