It's been cold here Nick so my tomato plants are at least 2 or 3 weeks behind their usual size and all are still in pots as it's been too cold to turf out the citrus, fuchsia, canna and dahlia pots taht spen winter on th etomato bed in the polytunnel.

Hoping that changes this week tho as I need the shelf space for more babies coming along - lots of brassicas and herbs and so on.

It has been super hot here and I think I might just have enough for a salad. Lettuce, onions, a few small toms and some early gherkins to use in place of a failed sowing of cucs.  It may all sound lovely and it is but it is a really tough job to keep it all alive during the summer - no rain for months and temps in the 40s means a lot of watering and mulching. It has already been 33c but it is cooling down a bit now..
