Received the online catalogue yesterday and immediately sent off for my choices
Paddy cabbage
* Cyprus beans
* Kelvedon King
* Chicago Warted Hubbard squash

* Boothby's Blond cucumber
* Mr Fearn's Purple Flowered beans
* Guernsey parsnips
* Black Futsu squash
* Kelper Gigantic swede
I like the new live ordering system, which means you don't need to specify preferences any more. But the pdf was less clunky to go through.

Devoy white beetroot, cfBeans, rainbow Sweetcorn, a couple of squash and that red Broad bean...
Another tomato would have been grounds for divorce!

Hopefully they can simply remove things when they are out of stock.
I just gone for a couple of squashes and the rest beans.
Given up on tomatoes. The blight just seems to kick in just as the fruit ripens.

Is it a type of amaranth? Not personally a great leaf eater.
Maybe they will be ornamental.

It's probably an amaranth, though the name does cover other leaves. It's widely grown in the Caribbean.

Variety called Bangladeshi Dhata. so looks as if it has left Jamaica behind.

'Dhata ' means donar. Amarnath is widely grown in most parts of India. it is not for eating leaves. but you can add tender stems or leaves to your stew's or stirfry. they taste really good. I cook with lentils and/or tomatos as well.
if you still not impressed to eat as veg, the seeds are rich source of of protine.

I'm not sure where it originated, or whether it's the same plant grown in the Caribbean. What is sure is that a lot of Asians went to the Caribbean, so it's quite possible that they may have taken the seeds with them.

Mine too, about a week ago and also got all. Is the new online catalogue interactive? Ie when a variety is out, it disappears? I was wondering about that, would be a good way of doing it. :wave:

Would make sense to only show things that are available. You now no longer have to put any alternatives. It would certainly avoid any disappointment. If you cannot see it you will not miss it.

Interesting reading through everyones varieties, choices are really varied.
I almost missed putting my order in this year.
Seeds received, White Belgium carrot,
Klapprotts Graubeige beans,
Rainbow sweet Inca sweet corn,
Meesha runners
Queensland Blue
Doug Bray of Grimsby pea (I managed to mix my seed up with something else)
and Williams Tiger bean as an extra.
I think they leave all the varieties up for everyone to see, but the choose button is only available on the in stock varieties.
