Although I would have to say it is a bit late now to get specimens like these;

Post by: Obelixx on February 27, 2020, 16:11:11: That looks remarkably like Delia's red onion tarte tatin! That's a favourite anyway but especially when I have vegetarian friends to feed. Sometimes I sneak a layer of goat's cheese log slices on top of the onions before the pastry goes on. Yum.

Post by: galina on February 28, 2020, 09:26:52: I agree, these are based on very old traditional French and Swiss recipes. My Auntie used to do a lovely Swiss Böllewähe (onion tart) with bacon crispy bits. Love the idea of goat's cheese too for a veggie version. :wave:
