Title: Today’s daft question!
Post by: markfield rover on February 25, 2020, 09:40:57
I have just harvested an arm full of forced rhubarb , my question is....will the stems keep better if I cut the leaves off?
Many thanks.

I've no idea, but they will be easier to fit into your kitchen without the leaves!

I always take them in without the leaves... for convenience more than anything... but standing the stems in a vase of water will help. If you pulled rather than cut the stems trim the base of each stem and make sure you put them in the right way up...

leaves off.  Lay on ground.  Return next day and harvest lots of naughty slugs.
