Anyone seen brown mottling on pumkin/squash leaves before? Not at all like mosaic virus, more like a series of small bruises? ???

Just had another look at them - could it be burn?
We've had a lot of showers then strong sun + it's only apparent on the ones I've started hardening off.

i had something similar on the pumpkins themselves...kind of like a brown birth mark, after which the pumpkins turned to mush!

This time of the year my pumpkins all get mottling, then the leaves go crispy and die! I always assumed it was part of the way it was meant to be! ???
