The couple had been anxiously trying for a baby for several years, and when the wife suddenly realized she was probably pregnant they were on the telephone straight away demanding an urgent appointment with the doctor.  The doctor carried out the usual examination, and assured them that the wife was indeed pregnant, that she was extremely healthy, and should have no serious problems. He continued that there was no need for her to see him again for 3 months or so unless the morning sickness became too bad, or she suffered some other health problem.

To the doctor`s surprise, the same couple appeared in his surgery a week later.  They admitted that the wife`s morning sickness was nothing to worry about, and she had nothing else wrong with her, but they just wanted the doctor to check and make sure everything was still o.k.   The doctor patiently examined her again and assured her that everything was still perfectly o.k., then he took a tiny rubber stamp and stamped the wife's stomach with indelible ink. “Now when you get home, check that little stamp, and follow the instructions” he said.

The couple was curious about what the stamp was for so when they got home, he dug out his magnifying glass to try to see what it was.  The letters were so tiny that he could barely make them out, even with the magnifying glass, but eventually he was able to decipher:

"When you can read this without glasses, come and see me again"
