Mine is in flower! I'm so pleased. The stem is about 2ft long. I don't remember mum's getting that long! I'll have to get a picture.

Mine flowered at xmas - well nearly did.  The cat knocked it off the windowsill and it knackered it.  At the mo it has two yellow, chewed leaves.  What should I do next ?

Blush blush...I am no expert, I think it was a case of luck rather than judgement and it worked for me!

Mine are now all outside, against a south facing wall at the moment.  They will not receive any extra water other than that Mother Nature provides, and in October, when all my tenders go into the greenhouse, they go also.  There they remain under the staging until December time, when they all trundle into the conservatory.  The bulbs do seem to shrink up a little and look papery, but once they have died back at the end of the summer, rested a while, had some fresh compost, come back into the warm and start to drink and feed, the bulbs swell and the flower buds come!  My last one has just finished, and has set seed so I am hoping to sow that once it is fully ripened.
