Foxtail Lilly
« on: May 09, 2005, 08:52:47 »
Hi, I'm new to this site. I have a question it may sound silly but...... I planted some Foxtail Lillies about a month ago into the border, fine. The thing is I didn't mark where I put them ::) (oversight on my part). I am wondering how long before I see any sign of them poking through. I don't want to disturb them but I do have other plants that I now want to put in but am a bit concerned. Any ideas gratefully received. Thanks. :) By the way I think this is a briliant site ! ! :)

Ooo, I would love some foxtail lillies!  I would say they will take about 6 weeks to start to poke their noses through, especially if we keep having this warm wet spell!

Welcome by the way  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

;D Hi Emma Jane , Thanks for the welcome :) Well I shall wait & see what happens & where they come up. I have never grown them before but they are something I have wanted to grow for a long time, finally got round to it. I love Lillies & grow lots in the garden as well as some in the green house. The pesky  little red devils are a real nuisance but I try to keep n top of them. >:( I don't know come to think of it, whether the foxtails are attractive the little devils or not. Any ideas?  ??? Thanks
