It's wonderful watching her sat there, I could watch all day.

I went in to a school yesterday and saw their webcam, it's brilliant for the children to see the bird in the nest.  Looked just like yours.  The TV was in the classroom and when the bird got a feather stuck on her head the children were completely distracted by it as she fell asleep with it still there.

I love to quietly sit and watch her.

To think the same thing is going on just about 3 feet away from me on the outside wall.  :)  Its been very busy in mine with food ( looks like caterpillars) going in quite often.

I know what you mean - ours is about six feet away. I try to put the washing out really quickly so I don't disturb them too much!
Ours seem to be eating lots of centipede type things. What is it about being so close to something like that that's so special?  :)

I dont know caz,  it just is isnt it?
I watched baby rats playing by the lake in Southport one day. I know we are supposed to hate them but it was actually lovely to watch them.

Its all nature and if you have it in your soul to appriciate it you are a lucky person.

Glad you feel the same as me about it  :)  One of my favourite things are the robins at the allotment. They come so close while you weed or dig. Last year I was able to feed grubs to one - he actually took them off my hand - it was just so lovely. I find myself talking away to them - thought I was going a bit potty but discovered my mum does the same thing!  ;D

I've read help the Sparrow postings before now.

I know they have declined but there is still over 7 million breeding pairs down from 12 million over 30 years.

I'd say that is how nature works, ups and downs.

If you guys see anything interesting let Yoho know and we'll add it to the log....

I don't know why but looking at it makes it seem very emotional its lovely.  In Asda's yesterday I bought a couple of bird boxes with the hinged lid, it looks just right for a web cam to go in, we're going to start looking soon for a web cam for next year, I want to give the box a coat of wood stain and get it up long before next year so they get used to the box . I'll still leave the old one up so if they don't take to the new one they've still got somewhere to nest.I'm quite excited about it.

Sorry guys. Was off most of the day. Was Testing remote access software, but all did not go to plan. Couldn't do a reboot till I got home. It will be off again from time to time, but keep trying, as it shouldn't be off to long the next time.

Think ours might have hatched because the parents have been in and out every few minutes with grubs and things since Monday. They seem to spend hardly any time actually in the box now....wish we had a camera in ours so we could see them.
Hurry up Bleep and hatch your babies!
