Spring Blossom
« on: April 30, 2005, 12:53:59 »
Spring has well and truly sprung now and we have loads of colour in the garden now, the Clematis Montana is wonderful this year after we gave it a huge hack back last year. (Excuse the grotty dove cot, I rescued that from an old garden years ago and it has finally met it’s end. New one being manufactured at the moment)

One of my favourite shrubs this time of year is The Bride, or Exchorda:

Of course the old crab apples come into their prime now:

And the hellebores are still going strong:

Hope you enjoy them.

Wonderful pics, very preety indeed.

I have had montana growing across the front of the house for many years now, but every few years i always hack it right back as it can get very woody and i often think it quite enjoys it too and rewards me with a fantastic display.

Absolutely lovely.  Must be just wonderful sitting out there, glass of wine or cup of tea in one hand, book in the other (notice how I didn't mention anything about hard work)  ;D

I really love looking at the fab photos on this board. Our kids bought us a digi camera for our 50th wedding anniversary but I am real rubbish at taking pics. If I want something special I usually get my son to take the pics.Thank you all for all the lovely pics. Lorna
