Who else got cornflowers then? Seems like they had a job lot to get rid of to me.

I figured the veg would be toms as they seem to be given away left right and centre.  Love Cornflowers, same thing really, cheap seeds in abundance so easy to give away, but hey, seeds for nowt, can't ask for farer than that, and as they didn't cost anything, if next year only half the packet emerge, you have lost nothing.  :D

(and as i only grow what i like the pot luck nature of the offer didnt appeal).

That's what I liked about it. I imagined (rather optimistically!) that it'd be something I'd never have thought of growing and don't usually grow. But of course not! Luckily we eat stacks of toms (well - tom sauces) so they will not go to waste.

I'm thinking of setting up a plant stool to flog off (for charity, of course!) my spares, after mum, mum-in-law and gran have taken their pick!
