Elephant Hawk Moth

Saw this 'lovely' creature on a country road, thought I would share its beeauty with you all!!!   arrrrrh.

I think they are cute too, but the lady who phoned me to come and have a look at the EH Moth thought it was horrible and had never seen anything like it before!!!  I did move it off the road and onto the grass verge.

Aah lovely - while its a caterpillar! Moths, I can't stand em why do they come fluttering at you?. Not too keen on anything that flies near me really even butterflies  and am sad to say missed getting a pic of my first dragonfly visitor cos it came too near and I beat a retreat.  (The size of them!) Soppy eh. Have no problem with bees and wasps funnily enough because they don't bumble round me  ;D
