Squash "Amoro"
« on: August 06, 2021, 11:28:41 »
I've grown this winter squash for the first time this year as I couldn't get any potimarron seeds when I was placing my orders.

So far, I'm impressed. It's a bush rather than a sprawling vine and each plant is producing several good (medium) sized orange fruit which are well on the way to ripening already. I guess I wait for the stems to go corky and/or the plants to begin dying off before I harvest them, but that might be the end of August rather than October!

Then we'll have to see how well it cooks, keeps and tastes.

Has anyone else grown this one?
