Strimmer cord
davholla:
My strimmer cord has gone - any suggestions where to get some more from?
It is like this
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/6174686?clickSR=slp:term:strimmer:6:140:1
Would this work?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324506823104?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=324506823104&targetid=1280824613898&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9044976&poi=&campaignid=12125451065&mkgroupid=122721231597&rlsatarget=pla-1280824613898&abcId=9300480&merchantid=10131294&gclid=CjwKCAjw_JuGBhBkEiwA1xmbRasENCWuXWOj-9ML0IlDnRInLXKxJqDa9yrHLZ--73bRCHSeTW2jrhoCoioQAvD_BwE
Do I just cut a bit off and put it the strimmer
Metanurb:
B+Q normally have a selection, the important bit is the thickness, the manual on the Argos link says max 1.2mm which is pretty thin.
It's late so I may have missed it but I can't see a thickness on the ebay link?
saddad:
Threading the cord into a strimmer is always something of an "arcane" art...

By that do you mean difficult?
I could buy a spare from argos but I don't buy Argos home delivery if I can help it after a sofa took 8 months to arrive (I do buy from the shops).
saddad:
I find it quite tricky yes, not being very technically adept!
