The unseasonably warm weather has it's advantages... still picking
Climbing French Beans, late planting at the start of August, chillies and sweet peppers tomatoes from the greenhouses the odd courgette and of course loads of broccoli side shoots from the summer Calabrese ...

My incredibly late kale and broccoli actually has a chance of developing into something! And I love that I am picking raspberries in late October.

The long drought put all our brassicas into a sort of stasis.   We've had some rain, at last, in the last 10 or 12 days and the grass has turned green, the weeds are flourishing and th ebrassicas have perked up.   We've had one head of broccoli and are waiting to see if the Savoy and pointy cabbages produce anything edible.

Been out of action with Covid for a week, first time I've succumbed, but managed to pick about 2kg of tomatoes and cleared out the rest of the peppers and most of the chillies  today.

I'm picking calabrese at the moment, which is a bit of a worry as I've never sown any - but it's definitely calabrese that's cropping!

Got probably the last of the climbing French yesterday...

I went to do a bit of clearing in the jungle this morning and found a squash and four cucumbers. Bonus!

Today I picked a load of chilis, some peppers, an aubergine, a kaffir lime and some leaves, coriander, beans, broccoli and some oranges!
