Plants in the post
« on: January 26, 2021, 21:41:50 »
I had some plants in my office which are fine and I think have been looked after whilst I work from home.
However they are mine and I want them back.
Does anyone know if they can be sent in the post?
(I know I should have got them earlier but long story)

How big are they and how heavy and who would pack them for you?

Might be worth just going into the office, with mask and hand sanitiser, and fetching the plants yourself.

I am not allowed to go in sadly.

Can someone bring them out to the door then?

No sadly they are not that flexible.
Fortunately they will be looked after until lockdown finishes.

Then I'd stop fretting and leave them where they are.

I hope they are giving pleasure to the person who is tending them.

They have sentimental value - and I am being made redundant.
If I had known I was never going back to the office (I got Covid before lockdown).

I think you should be allowed yo go and collect your own property and empty your workstation/desk.   If not, ask a colleague or friend to bring them down to the door.  If they're going to post them they'll have to be allowed to bring them out anyway so may as well just give them to you.

Plants are sent through the post all the time.  Make sure they are posted on a monday so they do not stuck in a warehouse over the weekend.
But I think I would try go for a click and collect style option.
