Lobelia Cardinalis
« on: January 23, 2021, 15:50:14 »
I am so thrilled that my Lobelia Cardinalis germinated well.  The seeds are miniscule and so are the seedlings.
But now they are growing bigger.  I am please to say they all have red first leaves like the mother plant.    So now I need to get them growing as fast as possible so they flower this year.  After a month since sowing they are still small.  I am hoping for 4 inches by early May, which is how I bought the mother plant.
They are currently sharing my SAD lamp.   And so far mother is doing well too, the small ring of leaves at the bottom of the plant looking happy.  Also sharing the SAD lamp is antirrhinum.  They have small seeds as well, but much bigger than the lobelia. They are in jiffy peat plugs so potting on should be easier.

Allotments 4 All
