Slugs ate my onions!
« on: September 14, 2020, 20:53:34 »
I have never seen this before but on harvesting my Snowball onions last week I found they had been chewed away by slugs. One or two so big you could have put saddles on them and rode them! Never seen this before. I presume it is because Snowball is a mild onion with a thin skin.
Anyone seen this?

I have had slugs\snails get to onions earlier in the season when they are a little less protected by tough skin..
Moved to Portugal - ain't going back!
