Gate cleaner
« on: July 29, 2020, 07:15:02 »
Every time I open or close the allotment gates I carry a spray bottle of bleach cleaner in my bike basket which I spray on the lock and where I touch the gate. I was wiping my hands on my loose shirt, then found I had bleached some of the colour out of it. Changed the mix in the bottle to a weak industrial alcohol mix and it stopped the nagging from home. Ran out of alcohol the other day so made up a mix of cheap aftershave which was mostly alcohol anyway. Works a treat but leaves me smelling like an over fifty divorcee on a speed dating walk.

For some weeks I faffed around with hand cleansers, alcohol gel and similar.

But currently I just have a bar of good strong soap tucked under a corner of my shed and after going through the gate walk to my plot and give my hands a good wash at my water butt.  Very easy and effective so far!

On leaving I have to wait until in home to wash hands but as home is close to my plot it is only a matter of moments.
Not mad, just out to mulch!
