RIP Pescador, Paul
« on: November 06, 2019, 17:31:47 »
It was quite a shock to read that Paul, Pescador has passed away unexpectedly.  Many members of this group helped get him over his illnesses with encouragement and caring.  He was a very enthusiastic grower and long standing member of this forum, with a great sense of humor too.

This is what his family wrote on Paul's Pickles and Preserves facebook page:

It is with great sadness that I share with you the news that Paul passed away on Saturday.
Although he was fighting throat cancer the prognosis was fairly good and he was feeling positive so it was completely unexpected that the cause was a cardiac arrest.
Paul never stopped or slowed down in the last 4 months and Paul's Preserves and Pickles was a source of great pride and happiness for him. He loved growing and making and meeting people at the various markets, the cottage industry he created was thriving!

The reference to his fb page is at the bottom of all his posts if anybody wishes to send condolences to his family.

RIP Paul, we will miss you!

Oh that is so sad for his family.
After all he has been through. His positive approach deserved a better outcome , how sad.

The family have set up a Just Giving page for a cancer charity if anybody wishes to contribute to a good cause in Paul's memory.

This is way overdue,I wnet looking for him and found the notice. It os perhasp too late but maybe if someone is in touch with his family they can pass this on.

He was a lovely man who shared recipes with me,I felt very special about that. I would have liked to meet him, he was just one of those folks who made others feel better despite theor personal sorrows.
