Blight watch!
« on: April 01, 2020, 23:40:55 »
Can't believe I received the first blight watch notification today! A joke maybe? 13C today,  blue skies all day and 5C last night. Prior to this, the earliest one I had was 13 May 2017.

What could get blight in the UK this early in the year?

Jersey Royals.
The outdoor crop may just have started being lifted, 10-12  weeks from a planting in January. The earlier crops will have been in tunnels. Worth upto around £5000 per ton!
