Watering pots in winter
« on: February 11, 2019, 11:10:50 »
I've been surprised to find how dry it is up here in North Northumberland- since moving up in October we have had very little rain, only a sprinkling of snow and lots of sun but also some strong winds. I brought a lot of pots with me and have them on pot feet for drainage but they are very dry and I'm not sure whethre some of the plants have been affected by drought or frost. I've never watered pots in winter before and worry that watering will make them more prone to frost damage. What do you think? Of course, having written this we'll probably have a storm now!
