Have got loads of this on my allotment, havent eaten the leaves yet but looks pretty, and self seeds.

In Jamaica it’s called callaloo and it tastes like spinach.

Slightly different to spinach but not in a major way - cooks down nice with some garlic though (what doesnt!)

Leaves when young and side shoots/leaves add a further ingredient to a salad.Not strikingly flavoursome but has a certain 'bite'.Mine has now reached 5ft high and is flowering, similar to' love lies bleeding'; a relation I think.
