Lavender
« on: July 16, 2018, 12:56:15 »
I planted this bush out in this location a few years ago so that each time I walked up the garden or on to the lawn I would brush against it and it would send up a smell to die for. Today when I passed it it was really "buzzing" as well as emanating its smell.

When I looked closer there were dozens of bumble bees and Butterflies on it, so nice to see I am doing my bit for the pollinators too!

Love my lavender when in flower and glad to be supporting the bees.
However if you have tried lavender scones or shortbread you might have posted in edible plants, though make sure its the correct lavender I think it's the French which tastes and smells like disinfectant.
