Whoops! Wrong Bottle!
« on: July 14, 2018, 20:34:26 »
Hi all,
I've accidentally sprayed my runner beans with Rose Clear rather than the organic Bug Clear that I intended.  The container says that it should only be used on roses and keep clear of food crops.  My bean plants are not yet bearing any pods so do you think they'll be ok when they do?  To clarify, I was spraying because the plants were developing a black fly problem.  Also, I've not checked into this site for a long time.  There was a very knowledgable old gentleman named Tim who was a regular contributor and I wonder if he is still with us? Thanks for any help in advance of receiving it. :-)

It contains an insecticide and a fungicide but I don't think you have anything to worry about. I am sure commercially grown crops have a lot of repeated exposure to these sort of products before harvesting - have you noticed how perfect the vegetables are in the shops - not a nibble mark on them.
