Japanese anemones
« on: July 04, 2018, 19:41:51 »
My Japanese anemone has gone mad- it's got lots of growth low down, which is spreading over my lawn. Would it be harmful to cut off some of the lower nonflowering stems now?

I have been pulling up every growth of this I can see for 22 years without managing to kill it off.

Thanks- that's what I'll be doing tomorrow, then. I love the flowers but why does it need so much foliage? :happy7:
