A sort of new year resolution- to sharpen my hoes and other tools regularly.  What do you use please?

For edge tools(hoes/spades/edger iron/rotary mower) a 10" second cut flat file with handle. For scythe/ette/swap hook/reaper: carborundum cigar stone.
For shears: best is professional hollow grinding, try your ironmonger: they will also stock the previously referred to tools.
