I was on the lotty yesterday and my neighbour had a new, shiny bright Mantis tiller, which she'd had for Christmas, and was about to try it out for the first time

Any way her husband was saying that he'd bid for one on Ebay and his bid was successful.  He paid his money and waited patiently for the tiller to arrive.  When it did arrive he eagerly unpacked it to find a BIKE!!!!!   A Mantis bloody bike  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

So be aware what you're bidding for.  Ha ha

Normally the seller displays a photograph of the item he/she is selling and therefore you are quite clear as to what you are buying.

One of our lottie holders went to an auction last week and got a petrol leaf shredder ( internet price just under £300 ) for £10 new.

I was after little baskets to put christmas biscuits my girls were making for presents.  I needed about 10, found an auction on ebay for small baskets, looked at the photo they looked great, was a fantastic price about £3 incl. post for 12.  Waited.

A small envelope arrived a few days later, wondering what it could be I opened it up to find 12 minature baskets!  The smallest I've ever seen!  About 3 inches accross.  Instead of biscuits we made pepermint creams!! LOL :)

The worst scam I've ever seen was an ebay sale of a moblie phone. It went for about £100 I think, and only on close inspection did the buyer notice that in the middle of a long list of details it said ' the buyer understands that this auction is for the picture shown only, not an actual phone'. He duly received a copy of the picture.
