Lovely harvest Graceland!

I picked 6.3kg of Sungold tomatoes today, having been away since Thursday. They are much more orange than in the photo.
Then turned a few of them into a tomato and basil pasta sauce.

Bad news is I think there's a touch of blight on some of the plants!!!
Just when they can yield 10kg a week; but that's the risk of "free-ranging" them.

Wow What a crop!  I bet that sauce was delicious.
Blight - sure as eggs is eggs. We spotted it at the weekend and the weather is perfect for blight.  Damp, warm with heavy downpours.  I got a blight warning yesterday :-(
Moved to Portugal - ain't going back!

For the tomatoes, get out there with a small hand secateur and cut off any leaves that are looking manky. If any stems look affected try and cut off that part of the plant. We have been very lucky with toms, it has been really dry so no blight.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

We have had 6 blight warnings here.  Glad that I don't have outdoor toms this year.  The new blight resistant potatoes I am trialing are holding out relatively well.

Love everyone's harvest pictures

Picked another 4kg today. Blight is there, but hasn't advanced; very strange indeed!
