 mines sending out new leaves how should I care for it now should I repot or just feed ?

I was rather hoping mine would die as it has lasted since Xmas, but I do hate throwing plants away, so may try to repot it.  Think I only paid £1 for it so have had good value.

I used to grow them on for several years when I was in service. I would let them go dry once the bracts had faded. Once they were dry I would cut them back to about 3 buds,(they do not bleed  if cut when dry) then restart them about July/Aug by potting on or repotting. I did not give them dark treatment but used to do quite a big display at the bottom of the staircase each Christmas.
