Cucumbers
« on: July 16, 2017, 09:26:58 »
This morning's cucumbers.  They would not meet with the approval of Mr Juncker's mates in Brussels but they will taste a lot better than anything in the shops.  The funny thing is, I don't eat them!  My wife does and they also make welcome gifts to those of our friends who do like them.  Plenty more to come.

Like you I do not like them.  I used to grow them for my daughter but she does not like spines on them and thinks my ones taste too much, she likes the tasteless supermarket ones.  I grow them now because I can, and just use them as swaps.

I always grow socrates cues they are about 6/8 ins long but they are slightly fatter than the long ones and they do not have spines for which I am grateful,   they also crop well
