I think I'd prefer Flickr. However, your posts are always a pleasure to read, informative, relevant and well written. Even if you send them by smoke signal I'll still be reading them!

I have joined up to Imgur but sadly I don't like it very much.

It is a bit 'geeky' and seems to be more in keeping with the 'selfie' brigade although there are some excellent photographs.

After the very little research I have done on the site, I get the feeling that it is more suited to single pictures as opposed slideshows and the like.

Perhaps if I catch a stunning shot with my camera I might upload it but for run of the mill stuff as I have shown in the slideshow I don't think it would be appreciated.

I don't think it is for A4A viewers, but I won't kick it into touch just yet!

The slow referred to the loading time.  The ads on PB took a long time to load

On seeing this I have just had a thought of possibly the  main reason why PB has stopped us embedding single pictures but not slideshows.

When I sent individual or groups of individual picture there were "no ads" whereas with a slideshow there are.

What I don't like about these ads  is:  they are so much in your face that they can detract your eyes from the slideshow to the ad content.

So it seems it  is all about money!!!

They do not make money from pics with "no ads" but the do with the ones "with adds"hence kicking the single pictures into touch.

Add to that (pardon the pun) they want people to pay to cover for the " no ads" situation

Greedy Bu**ers!

Looks like Flickr is favourite as far as A4A is concerned so I will have to get my thinking cap on to find the best way of getting these on line.

Thanks for all your help guys it was appreciated....Tg

BTW  a message for Nick:

What happened to the "Sunset " photo competition?

I am not sure how Flickr is funded its owned by Yahoo.  Presume it may go the same way.

I suppose I can understand Photobucket not being happy about people making money on Amazon or ebay but using them for free.  Amazon and ebay should host their own pictures.  However it is the lack of warning that is wrong and the one size fits all charging system and the retrospective pulling of links.  They seem to have upset a lot of people.    Upsetting your customers before they pay is never a good business plan.
