A Walk in the Sunshine
« on: June 19, 2017, 19:28:38 »
It was too hot to do anything on the allotment or in the garden today so I went for a stroll around one of our local reservoirs.

Now I know Johnny get on about his sunshine coast well I have to say I can claim I am from " Summer Wine" country aka the TV programme " Last of the Summer Wine"

(Note you can look at the photos individually or click on the slideshow icon to view them...the choice is yours)

This was today's walk;

This was a previous walk:

This the reason I came to this part of the world that is: I helped to build this!

Around the village I live in:

This is a piece of land owned and made by the village trust it cost me a £1 a year to be part owner.

This is it a few years earlier:

This is a local landmark that towers over my village and Huddersfield.

This is the same walk I did today as it was in June 2013

and finally the village trust land ten years ago.

Now you can all say you have seen some of "The Summer Wine Country"

Great photos of beautiful countryside. You must be very proud to look at that dam and say "I built that!!"
