We've got the full monty when it comes to pests ... mice, voles, rats, rabbits (the baby ones at this time of year will squeeze through chicken wire!), pigeons, pheasants, partridges, deer, muntjac, slugs, snails, leek moth, cabbage white and probably many more I'm not aware of. You just can't keep them all out.
I used to think that some things like potatoes, tomatoes and squash were safe, but this year something big ate my tomato leaves and something mouse like has eaten a load of potato leaves ... I'm not kidding! Everything I really want to keep has to be under nets and sometimes they get in to those!
Still ... it's great soil!
