Gutted
« on: June 09, 2017, 23:18:56 »
My broadbeans were doing well, was going to have the first real portion at the weekend, and I had some carrots to go with them.

But some wretched tealeaf has taken them.  Gone.  I am gutted,

Sown in February and received every care.  Bottle cloches, manure, mulch, squashed blackfly and some nasty person swoops in and takes them.

Rant rant rant

I hate this so much - it drives me nuts. I have been very lucky on my current plot and we are as urban as it gets.  Nothing of any note has been nicked but we have had to deal with a few minor thefts.  On my last plot someone nicked a clematis we had growing up the shed!  Literally cut off the top of it and dug it out.  I was furious - I know they are only plants but my plot is my little kingdom - my little haven from the world at large and it made me so mad that someone would come on to my plot and do that.

I hope it isn't someone from your site...
Moved to Portugal - ain't going back!

We did have some people on site which I was suspicious but they have left.   The people on site are hard working and know what effort it takes to grow crops.  And willing to share and swap.

Unfortunately we have nothing to keep people out.

A couple of guys came in through the gate the other day and then saw me and went out again.  Perhaps they returned.

I will have to get my hidden camera out.

its so annoying its hard enough  to get thing to crop what with pests diseases  and weather and the  like to take someones produce is the lowest of the low i think every site has someone who thinks its ok to help himself to others hard earned crops  i feel your pain
johhnyc015  may the plot be with you
