Just noticed in my TV guide that Gardeners' World this week has a tribute to Geoff Hamilton and a visit to Barnsdale as it's 20 years since his death. Looking forward to that.

Thank you Caroline.
He was very influential for many people, myself included. He cleverly 'sneaked' organic gardening into the nation's conscience without saying so and therefore did not alienate anybody. His gardening 'makes' are still so brilliant and useful. Lovely big cloches are so useful. And the best for me is the automatic self-watering table which saves hours watering seedlings and keeps everything going when we are away for a few days.

Thanks, must watch this episode. I was so sad when he went to the big garden where the weeds and pests don't go.
