Thank you very much for your birthday greetings.
In the morning of my birthday, I finished off some ironing. I don't iron very often but it had piled up so I had spent most of Saturday afternoon doing it but still had a few items left. It was a pleasure to get it out of the way as some of the things had been hanging around for a few months!
I had a lovely afternoon and evening with with my hubby, two sons and grandchildren. They all had a hand in cooking me a lovely meal which we ate last night in our new gazebo by the summerhouse. I had chosen roast beef for the occasion and my 11year old grandaughter made some lovely individual Yorkshire puddings.
I was bought some lovely presents too. A telescope with a strong tripod, a pair of USCAMEL 10x26 waterproof binoculars for birdwatching, a bottle of gin and a DVD of "The White Queen". The latter was on tv a year or so ago but I missed quite a lot of it. The gin I am saving for our next holiday in the caravan. I am diabetic and have found that a gin and low cal tonic does not raise my blood sugar!
All in all, a very good day.
