Cucumber recommendations?
« on: May 01, 2016, 23:15:10 »
I find myself all out of cuke seed and obviously need to buy some, but having grown Burpless Tasty Green for the last few years I just wonder if any of you can recommend anything better?
I will be growing in a greenhouse as always. I do have Crystal Lemon but I don't really count this as a cucumber......more as a trick to play on friends that don't like cukes... :tongue3:

If you don't mind a hybrid Carmen is my favourite,
When God blesses you with a multitude of seeds double  the blessing by sharing your  seeds with other folks.

I''ve grown PASSANDRA for the last 10 years and, although I've tried others alongside, I don't see myself changing.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up buying a couple of plants from the nursery, Femspot and Piccolini? as they didn't have any seeds of anything recommended. Those and the Crystal Lemon should see me through the season.

Thanks for that Tim that is what I have sown this year.

Cucumbers are my Achilles heel so hopefully I will have the success you have had over the years.

Fingers crossed!
