Evil weavils
« on: May 16, 2016, 23:06:54 »
Somthing is nibbling my broad beans and peas... I suspect weavils. Seems a lot worse than other years - so much so it's stunting thier growth somewhat. Any suggestions on what to do?

PS sorry for the looonnnnggg absence..

I am having the same experience.

Notched leaves - a classic sign of pea weevil. But my peas are about six inches high and seem to be coping - so like many gardeners who try to avoid pesticides I will avoid spraying unless absolutely necessary.

Got a little bit of flea beetle trouble too.

Ho hum

Cheers
