Abe (my Rottie) was taken ill on thursday when he woke me up at 4.30am with heavy panting-he couldnt stand up and kept collapsing.After spending couple of days at vet,they said he has an infection coupled with very low temperature and rapid heartbeat.They x-rayed him and found the shadow,but wont get the results from blood tests till mon/tues.

He's at home with me now as the vet thought he would be happier with me,but i have to lift him to his feet as he cannot get up unaided.Got a lot of tablets to give him,but he's very stubourn and spits them out-so i have to be crafty and wrap them in cheese!

Hopefuly,the vet will ring me tommorrow with good news.

Try putting the pills in a cheese triangle.  Daft puppy thinks he's getting a treat that way and you don't feel like a meanie.  Hope your pup makes a speedy recovery.  It's horrible  when they're not well - all the best.  Give him/her a get well wooch form me.

I can't vote as I have dogs, cats, Fish, Amphibians and a reptile. So it would be unfauir for me to pick a favorite as I love all my animals in there different ways. But if you asked me what wild animal I love well ..... It has to be the WOLF  :)
