May morn.
« on: May 01, 2020, 07:52:33 »
I still got up to see the may morn sunrise, not the same this year as we usually would go and dance up the sun and quaff a few pints of ale. We did think about it but it would have been a bit reckless and not in the spirit of the current situation. So Beltane greetings to all, there will be another time.

Walpurgis Night,(30/04) a valid opportunity to light a bonfire, would be in accordance with tradition. Its the day that farmers released their overwintered stock to spring pastures, the fires were lit to deter 'evils & predators' ,and maintained for the day following .A good day to burn 'bad news'.

I like the re-enactment photo!
I was up early too, actually a nice sunrise here in Derbyshire. I will happily toast Beltane, any excuse!😎
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
