winter veg ready too soon
« on: November 04, 2015, 22:24:45 »
My cabbages, and swede are all huge. Can I leave them in a while and hope they sit well until needed? They are savoy cabbages, swede are also winter varieties. Ideally I dont need them yet as still harvesting runner beans, broccoli and cauliflower. I' d love to hear views on this, thanks

Both Savoy and swede will stand for a while yet, February is normally the coldest month...

.....agree with Saddad , or you could chop them all up and make casserole packs to put in your freezer .
Trespassers will be composted !
