New Chilli Plants
« on: August 29, 2015, 16:16:01 »
Trying a couple of new chilli varieties this year.

They are a small variety as you can see here and are being grown in 5" pots as opposed to the types I grow in the greenhouse border.

Often in the past I have found that sometimes the smaller the chilli the hotter the taste, so looking forward to the results from these.

The Plants:

The ones on the left are some Sweet peppers I had spare so I stuck them in an 8" pot.

The two chilli varieties are Serrano and Thai.

The Thai variety looks rather unusual in so far as the fruit grows upwards as opposed to downwards.

Thai variety:

Looking good TeeGee.  A friend of mine always gives me Basket of Fire chillies and they point their fruits upwards.   The one I sow all grow downwards.
