Went into my local Poundland yesterday, to see that they were stocking a garden seat cover made from clear plastic. I bought one (£1) to see just how good it was, and ended up impressed. The cover measures 6ft long, by about 2 ft 3 in wide, by 3 ft 6in high, and is made from a durable clear plastic with seamed edges, and eyelets at the bottom corners.
I am not interested in protecting my bench from the weather, but I am interested in building decent cloches/cold frames.
All I need to do is knock together a couple of end frames, and put a couple of laths across to hold them at the right distance. A couple of pegs would keep the cover down on the ground.
Think I will get another couple over the weekend, perfect for growing aubergines in methinks.
