Bushy shrub in a friends garden.  Might not be edible so might be in the wrong section.  Any ideas please?

Leaves and shape of the shrub would help. Does it have thorns? It could be a misshapen Quince.

More info would help greatly - size of shrub, leaf shape and texture (hairy or smooth), growth habit, flower colour, fruit bearing (tips of branches or all over - on old wood or new or both) deciduous or evergreen etc.

The fruit seems unusual with those protuberances at the flower end so with more information it could be tracked down.

Wintersweet (Chimonanthus praecox)? :happy7:
