Jam akin to toffee
« on: August 06, 2015, 09:33:21 »
Help, I have done it again.  Made redcurrent jelly but boiled it too long trying to ger it to set.  It is now quite solid although this time at least I can get a knife int it.  Is there any way I can save it or is it destined for the bin.

Bin I think as it probably doesn't taste good.

Happened to my first batch this year as I took my eye off it.   No more multi tasking when jam making.

If it still tastes ok, melt slowly with some water, bring to quick boil and re-jar.
